Labyrinth: Resurgence - C2 The Beginning - Pt. 1
Still trembling slightly as adrenaline, shock and fear coursed through her veins, Asha strode towards the outer wall of the Labyrinth in a state of disbelief about her situation; could it be that the tale of the Underground was true? Or was this all some sort of terrible nightmare? She wasn’t sure; all she could think about was her poor brother – it was her fault that he had been taken. If only she had kept her mouth shut. The outer edges of the Labyrinth were a desolate place; little foliage was growing here, and the ground was dry, dusty and crack

A scream caught in her throat, but didn’t come out. Instead, a look of horror sat upon her face; her little brother was gone. Frantically, she rushed about the room looking for him, checking under the bed, behind the curtains, inside the wardrobe, but he was nowhere to be found. Knowing that the window had been firmly secure, with no way to lock it from the outside, Asha ran through the small house, checking all of the rooms, behind furniture and curtains, even checking underneath the sofa, but her brother was nowhere to be found.
Defeated, Asha dropped to her knees in the middle of her living room, sobbing so forcefully that her entir

Asha brushed her wavy brown hair from her eyes as she leaned forward over the saucepan of pasta she was cooking. The steam from the boiling water fogged her glasses, and she giggled.
“I’ve been wearing glasses for years, and somehow I still manage to forget I’m wearing them.” She chuckled to herself as she removed her glasses and wiped them clean. “Let’s try again.”
Removing a fork from the drawer to her left, she lowered the utensil into the saucepan and speared a piece of pasta. Blowing it cold, she ate it and chewed slowly, deciding whether or not it was completely cooked. Satisfied that it was,

Labyrinth: Resurgence (Plot)
It has been forty years since Sarah Williams ran the Labyrinth for her baby brother, Toby; she is now fifty-five years old, married and has almost completely forgotten her time in the Underground, putting the memory down to an overactive imagination. To Jareth, however, the time has passed as though but a blink of the eye.
In appearance, Jareth is exactly as he was all those years ago; his hair blonde and unruly, his attire unchanged, and his ego as large and inflated as ever. His goblin subjects both fear and revere him, blind loyalty keeping them bound to their King. Since being beaten at his own game by a fifteen-year-old, he has had a fi

How Not to Tell a Story
After being on DeviantArt for a few years now, I've noticed patterns in people's stories. Patterns, that I can't say I've ever seen until I started using the internet. I believe that's because these kind of patterns are thoroughly unprofessional. The pattern in short is this:
Character = victim
Plot = bad things happening to said victim
Maybe this sounds harsh. It's not if you understand that is ALL there is to these stories. They take any character, hurl them into a tragedy and that's it.
Let's get this straight: We do not know your character well enough to care about them yet. No matter how bloody and gutty their injuries are, no matter
